Montréal is quite an incredible city. I have really enjoyed it. People are so nice and everyone has put up with me trying practice French — je comprend quelque chose!
Tonight we get on our Qatar flight bound for Doha—Colombo, Sri Lanka. It should be a good flight (We’ll have Q suites the first 12-hour leg. I’m looking forward to good food, movie/book and a good night’s sleep). Leaving today, which is Tuesday, we eventually get into Colombo at 2 a.m. or so on Thursday.
This afternoon in Montréal it’s sprinkling with thunderstorms approaching. Hotel checkout was at 12noon. We’re packed and luggage stored. Now, we’ve got 5 hours to kill at the hotel before heading to the airport late this afternoon. Bar/restaurant/pool, in that order–all good places to hang out. After a lunch at the bar, we’re now currently sitting quietly by ourselves on the rooftop deck near the pool listening to the thunderstorm roll in as I write this.
Before we head out, I thought a few more pics were in order:

Found the fire station in Griffintown! Fireman to fireman.
Hanging out in a very nice bathroom (yes, a bathroom!) on the 14th floor of the Hyatt before we can head back to the pool area and not get soaked by the storm. (Richard mentions, of course, we should have done the city walking tour today :-)):

Poutine everywhere! Yesterday at the Atwater Market. Later, poutine and beer at BreWskey.
