Khama Rhino Sanctuary

We head to Khama Rhino Sanctuary tomorrow for two nights. It should be a terrific place with lots of black and white rhino. We’ll be camping again. Looks like 103 degrees in the forecast. We’ll do some game drives (with air conditioning!), and I’ll get some pics and video to post.

We loaded up on groceries this morning (Nama Tota is the best butchers you’ll find—Mowana Park/Phakalane area in Gabarone). For non-meat options, we went with canned goods and a little frozen veg this time. Nothing fresh because it spoils too quickly in the heat. And we loaded up on top ramen! The easiest food option ever when you don’t want to actually cook.

We had a couple of air-conditioned days at our favorite Airbnb near Mokolodi Nature Reserve in the Sentlhane Conservation Area, Gaborone. Amazing people and a beautiful place to stay.

Enjoying a charcuterie platter on the deck—later, time in the outdoor bath.

I’ll post more on accommodations and shopping in our Africa section.

And I’ll post rhino pictures when I have WiFi again.

Hope everyone is well.
