We stayed a night at Hais-Ra in Khorixas on our way from Epupa Falls. It was a long drive–about 10 hours. We had stayed at this campsite in 2022 and really liked it, and we liked it all over again in 2024. It is a great campground with about 10 sites or so tucked away among the boulders. There was only one other campsite occupied, so it was quiet and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Last time we were here, we had a sweet little dog that showed up and stayed with us until dusk. As the sun was setting someone came and called him and off he went. We had a dog again this time and I swear it was the same little guy. And like clockwork, he stayed all day and headed out at dusk.
